Digital Healthcare reaches 10 year Milestone
Digital Healthcare, the Cambridge based company that is recognized as a leading provider of innovative software solutions for Healthcare, reached a 10 year milestone on 9th September 2009.
From its early beginnings providing image management and storage solutions for the Ophthalmology sector, the company has now extended its product range and expanded into new International territories based on its core competencies in Clinical Information and Patient Care Management and is now a leading provider to the NHS in the UK, a major supplier to US physicians and has solutions in use within some of the Worlds' leading Eye Institutions.
Digital Healthcare is a Microsoft Gold Partner and its OptoMize product for systematic population healthcare screening was awarded the Microsoft Healthcare User Group (MSHUG) award for Acute Care - Clinical/Patient Information Systems in 2006.
As has been proved by the company’s success over the last 10 years using Microsoft technologies gives Digital Healthcare exceptional capability in delivering rapid development and deployment allowing Digital Healthcare to exploit its Healthcare Sector Knowledge to evolve and expand its product range to enter both new territories and address emerging Healthcare issues quickly and efficiently in response to environmental, political, economic and changes in policy and best practice.
In the UK, Digital Healthcare has successfully deployed over 40 operational Diabetic Retinopathy Screening programmes, including the national all Wales Diabetic Retinopathy Screening programme. In total those programmes have over 1.2 Million patients registered with over 9 Million retinal images under management.
In the US the Company's Retasure service to detect signs of retinopathy and eye disease in diabetic patients is used by nearly 900 physicians in 19 states.
Digital Healthcare’s OcuLab product for Clinical Ophthalmology is used by some of the World's leading Ophthalmology Departments, including The Wilmer Institute in Baltimore MD, to integrate clinical instruments and distribute information across their institutions.
