Digital Healthcare reaches 10 Million Retinal Images
Digital Healthcare announces that its Diabetic Retinopathy Screening customers have photographed and are storing over 10 Million retinal images using its award winning OptoMize software product.
This 10 million image milestone reflects the success of Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Programmes, the NHS and the English National Screening Programme for Diabetic Retinopathy (ENSPDR) in the aim to reduce the risk of sight loss amongst the diabetic population, by the prompt identification and effective treatment of sight threatening diabetic retinopathy.
Digital Healthcare’s OptoMize product is used by 41 regional diabetic retinopathy screening programmes across England and Wales and fully meets the functional requirements of the UK National Screening Committee workbook 4. OptoMize is a solution that has a high level of user friendliness, provides patients with an efficient and supportive service and allows programmes to manage and develop their service in a cost efficient and pro active manner to deliver quality care to their patient populations.
Digital Healthcare is a Microsoft Gold Partner and its OptoMize product for systematic population healthcare screening was awarded the Microsoft Healthcare User Group (MSHUG) award for Acute Care - Clinical/Patient Information Systems in 2006.
